A well balanced diet consists of the wheat group, the meat group, the crispy group, the cheese group and, of course, the hot sauce group. When I first moved to San Diego in 1998 I was introduced to the carne asada burrito. A few months later I was introduced to the carne asada fries. I was stuck on carne asada fries for about 4-5 years until I discovered carne asada chips in about 2002-2003. Back in my younger years I used to run a game of basketball, then head over to the nearest Roberto’s to eat a whole plate of carne asada fries with a carne asada burrito on the side for good measure.

My love for the carne asada group hasn’t faded. However, my ability to intake lots of meat (<—gay joke) has failed me. It’s sad, but I have to surrender to Father Time and not go for the gusto anymore. That doesn’t mean that I can’t have my carne asada group every now and again. Behold today’s lunch and the next couple days bowel movement: CARNE ASADA CHIPS!

What did you eat for lunch today?

That looks yummy. My lunch was Healthy Choice’s fish, rice broccoli & peach crumble.

I’m now loving pollo asada fries athough I can only have it every few months as I don’t wish to be wheelbarrowed out of bed every day.

i was at a workshop today. lunch was catered by el tapatio (in IB) - it was enchiladas with spanish rice and green salad.

all i can say was, it was free.

carne asada fries are good but in moderation. too much of that shit will mess you up! ha ha

Megan -Does Healthy Choice have carne asada fries? You should really come back to the evil side

DD - Oh yeah, how can I forget pollo asada fries. Their used to be this small taco spot in North Park called Gerardo’s that made the greatest pollo asada fries. Sometimes even when you ask for pollo asada fries they won’t make them if they’re not on the menu. Where do you get yours at? I might have to go for a car ride.

Canine - Free lunch is always the greatest. I like that move when their’s free lunch at work and when a couple hours past everybody is trying to send somebody else on a “go check if their’s anymore food left” mission. A good rock, paper, scissors fight always solves that problem.
