San Diego McDonald’s is partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego to raise funds through a text-to-donate campaign, as local restaurants introduce the new McCafé Frozen Strawberry Lemonade.

Starting April 11, customers can text RONALD to 20222 to donate $5 to Ronald McDonald House of San Diego and receive a coupon good for one FREE 12 oz. Frozen Strawberry Lemonade sent straight to their mobile phone. To redeem the coupon, customers can simply show the coupon on their phone to the attendant at the cash register or the drive thru at participating San Diego County McDonald’s.

Funds raised through this text-to-donate campaign will help support the Ronald McDonald House of San Diego, which serves as a home away from home for families with seriously ill or injured children being treated at San Diego-area hospitals. The home features 47 guest suites and a family care center. In 2010, the charity helped more than 20,000 family members with children in local hospitals.

For some reason I can only drink tap water at certain places. I swear to myself that some tap water is more funky tasting (which equals more dangerous) than other tap water. For example, I won’t drink tap water out of my apartment in San Diego because I swear it tastes like a sack of buffalo head nickels. haha sack. Even when I use my Brisk water filter I can’t get over that prior to the filter the water tastes like the sack previously mentioned in the my last sentence. But when I’m out of town tap water tastes like NOT a sack of buffalo head nickels. haha buffalo sack. Why? I do not know. Somewhere deep down in my noggin’ California water tastes like some sort of sack. And that my dear is not kosher pickle with me. Most of the time it’s good ‘ol stupid ass bottled water.
