NBC’s The Office – Is It Going Downhill?
This isn’t food related, but I have to get something off my chest. It’s not a very big chest so I apologize for the smallness of my chest. Oh, treasure chest full of pirates gold. Maybe I should invest in some dumbbells. Anyways…

I first discovered NBC’s The Office around 2006. I have to contribute this discovery to my arch nemesis/best friend – unemployment. Yes people, your grand host of RamenDays.com was unemployed at one point. Please contain your shock noises until the end of the show. How can a boy like me (yes, I said ‘boy’ because I don’t want to grow up, I’m a Toys“R”Us kid) with the wit of a wittersaurus, the cunningness of a gay 18th century barbarian warlord and the poker face of Forest Whitaker be unemployed? I don’t know. I’m thinking it was that whole ‘I Quit Because This Company Is Stealing My Youth’ email that I sent to my supervisor that MIGHT have been the culprit – the world will never really know.
Anyhow, as I was saying, my discovery of the show The Office was fireworks at first sight. I didn’t realize that the best show ever was about to takeover about 3 years of my life. Then, in drastic fashion, The Office started to slowly kill itself with mediocre plots and storylines. Seasons 5-6 were so YUCK. So to commemorate those 3 years of my life when The Office was great here are my favorite The Office moments:
-Dwight telling Michael that his dentist’s name is Crentist
-The Office vs. The Warehouse basketball game. Stanley dribbling the ball and Michael being upset that Stanley’s blackness didn’t transition into basketball skills
-Andy punching a hole in the wall after Jim put his cell phone in the ceiling and kept calling it
-The first time Jim finally got the guts to ask Pam out on a date (Pam’s smile was priceless)
-Dwight kicking the volleyball into the woods trying to buy time during the company volleyball game so Pam can get her foot x-rayed
-Michael, Pam and Ryan playing the ‘throw cheese puff balls in each other’s mouth’ game at The Michael Scott Paper Company
-Pam’s speech at beach day after she walked over the hot coals
-Michael and Andy bringing Asian waitresses back to the Dunder Mifflin Christmas party. Michael secretly marking one of the Asian girl’s hands because he couldn’t tell her apart from the other Asian girl
-Dwight pepper spraying Roy because Roy was about to attack Jim. Dwight not accepting any gifts for his heroism and Jim being frustrated of Dwight’s anti-acceptism
-Dwight punching Michael twice in the stomach because Michael said that Dwight’s martial arts skills were subpar. Michael crawls back to his office in pain. Pam asking Michael if Dwight can walk her to her
car because Dwight is so skilled in the martial arts. Michael confronting Dwight saying that “The deal was for one punch – which I absorbed”. Michael and Dwight fighting in the dojo. Michael wins.
-Michael: “And then you click the toolbar – that’s what she said”
-Michael’s speech at Bob Vance’s and Phyllis’ wedding. “Back in high school they used to call her ‘Easy Rider’”
So who is still feelin’ and not feelin’ these recent episodes of NBC’s The Office????

I have never watched US version of The Office, just a few episodes of the UK one. But I feel the same way about the Big Bang Theory. My show is getting ruined with bad storylines
Though you’re not a The Office fan you still feel my pain of a great show turning into poo poo butter. I guess it’s a good thing and a bad thing. Good thing – less watching of the boob tube. Bad thing – investing in something that doesn’t end well.
New Office is TERRIBLE… Sad to say, but they need to just end it…
Hollywood!!!!!!!! That is true stories man. Rumor has it that Steve Carrel will be leaving the show after this upcoming season. That is basically sitcom suicide right there. Tag ‘em and bag ‘em.
