Some say the Hawaiians smell like pineapples. Some say they smell like coconuts. Whatever people say they always say that Hawaiians smell like some sort of tasty fruit so it’s never a bad thing. Fact: Hawaiians smell good. Does that sound weird? Yes it does. But sometimes the truth is a little odd.

So, it’s no surprise that L&L Hawaiian BBQ smells like an angel just wafted a heavenly marinade over the establishment. I have yet to meet one person that could say anything bad about L&L Hawaiian BBQ. Who can really hate on Chicken Katsu? Just look at it. It’s so innocent. Like a little puppy dog…a little puppy dog that you dip in sweet, sweet Katsu sauce and devour. MmmmMmM puppy dogs.

If you’re in San Diego, I suggest you grind at the Mira Mesa L&L Hawaiian BBQ (828-A Mira Mesa Blvd San Diego, CA 92126) and please AVOID the L&L Hawaiian BBQ at it’s Midway location (3145 Sports Arena Blvd #102). I usually don’t like to bash on establishments, but the L&L Midway location in San Diego has very bad customer service. The vibe is a little Soup Nazi’ish if you know what I mean. No smiles upon approaching the counter and expect some annoying techno music spewing out the radio while you wait for your order. However, not to take away from the food, because it is still great. Step ya customer service game up Midway location!

Besides that, L&L Hawaiian BBQ is the place to be. How can you go wrong with fried chicken and rice? I mean, I can tell you how, but why would you want to know? Okay, I’ll give you a little hint: Urine.

Look, I even took a picture of a monk coming out of the L&L Hawaiin BBQ. Monks are never wrong. Plus they all know Karate. ALL OF THEM. That’s no being stereotypical because it’s true. ALL OF THEM. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

    The post was hilarious!

Admittedly I go to the Midway location but they are Nazi-ish with the sauces. COME ON!
