Finger Sushi
Edit September 27, 2009: First off, thank you all for the emails encouraging a proper recovery of my sushi finger. It’s a little shorter, kinda ugly lookin’ and I’ve lost some feeling at the tip, but all in all, it’s about 95% healed. Plus when I want to flip somebody the bird, but don’t really want to hurt their feelings I just give them the small middle finger. I’d like to think it’s saying, “Fuck you, but after a few minutes I want to be friends again”. Second, I haven’t forgot about this website and you - the very sexy, cool readers. Since my finger is back like cooked crack and I can type properly now, I’m gonna be back on the blogging train in the next day or so. Cheers!!
Let’s just say I sushi’d my finger last weekend. I don’t want to gross anybody out so I’ll give you the choice of looking at the grossness of the finger right when it happened. I did the same thing a few years back while cutting lemons at a restaurant I was working at. Thought I was gonna pass out when I saw the severed tip turn from pink to dull lifeless grey. And…I still had to finish that shift with my finger all bandaged! Hope you’re better soon.
