You’re a handsome little shrimp swimming in the ocean eating some krill, relaxing in the comforts of the deep blue aqua. You have carved yourself out a very decent lifestyle. You even moved out of your parents house and are getting very familiar with the pretty little lady shrimps. There was that one time when you brought home that lobster, but you were drunk and the only person that knows about that is your best friend…and he will never tell anybody…yeah right! Still…life is peachy! The thought of you ending up inside a burrito is not even on your radar. ***and then it happens***

California Burritos (7754 Starling Dr, San Diego, CA 92123), located in the Linda Vista area of San Diego, has the best shrimp burritos I have ever tasted. I’m not a burrito connoisseur by profession, however, I do admit that I have ate at least 500+ burritos in my lifetime. I also admit that I poo’d in my pants in the 1st grade while living on a Navy base in Lemoore, California. So, I think my opinion has a little say so in the burrito world. The shrimp used in these burritos are boiled so they have that tender, juiciness that shrimp should have. The spiced rice and dab of tartar sauce (they do not drown the burrito in tartar sauce thank goodness) that accompanies the shrimp is a perfect combination. In addition, California Burritos offers their patrons a free salsa bar stacked with pickled carrots, spiced cucumbers, and three varieties of salsas. If that wasn’t good enough; they also offer their eat in customers FREE TORTILLA CHIPS. California Burritos is a “mom and pop” type establishment and I can attest that the customer service is impeccable. So, if you’re looking to tease your tastebuds, head on over to California Burritos and keep that money in the community instead of giving away your money to the fat cats at Mickey D’s. Fat Cats would be a cool pet store name…and in the back they hold rooster death matches. Yeah!
